Preliminary invitation to IOF seminar for development

It is our great pleasure to inform you that we are going to organize IOF seminar for development of orienteering conjunction with the World Orienteering Championships held in August. The World Championships is hosted by Mikawa region in Aichi Prefecture which is situated at the heart of Japan. The seminar venue and accommodation is quite near from WOC event center within 2 hours drive on express way and local road from the newly opened the Chubu airport, called Centerair. This is the first WOC within Asia and would be great momentum for development of orienteering. The aim of this seminar is to fully utilize this occasion to promote orienteering outside of Europe, especially Asia.

The seminar includes how to introduce orienteering to various population, how to instruct and practice O skills, and so on, as well as spectating the world best orienteering performance and participating the spectator races. Actual program is flexible according to schedule and interest of participants.

Full and detailed schedule would be distributed after we confirm participants.
Venue:
Aichi Prefecture Field Education Center (Nukata town) near WOC event center. The accommodation is dormitory style with buffet meals. See location map. There is no public access to the venue. We will provide car pick up those who do not use their own rent-a-car. Please notice when and where you would like to be picked up.
Participation fee:
Package A (full packager) 22,000 yen
Package B 3,000 yen

The Package A includes participating fee as well as 2 nights stay at APFEC with breakfast and dinner, programme for WOC/spectator races, entry fee for the two spectator races (11th, 12th), WOC maps, transportation to the event).

Those who have already booked their accommodation with WOC entry form, participation fee for the seminar itself is 3,000 yen (package B).
