We, WOC2005 make Orienteering’s wonderful spirits explode into the world by the great partnership with EXPO2005 and Honokuni Forest Festival 2005. EXPO2005 has the philosophy as “Nature’s Wisdom” and Honokuni Forest Festival 2005 as the event that aims at raising citizens awareness of forest issues. Both has a common philosophy with Orienteering has. Then we hold the WOC2005 public competitions named “Forest Festival O-Event”.

The number of classes has increased.
It is possible to apply by applying, appending and the entry format, and even E-mailing as follows.
It applies and side reports having received it from NTA with mail in mail.
Please inquire of NTA when there is no reply mail even if it does for one week.

FAQ of WOC2005 Public Event

Note: All questions are from Japanese orienteer, we translate from Japanese.

Q1) Is WOC2005 Competition Center and Public Event Competition Center same place?

A1) All events (excludes Club Cup 7person Relay) are same place.

Q2) How much is Bus fare for child?

A2) Under 11 years old child is free.

Q3) Can I drop off and pick up my car passenger at competition center?

A3) Basic is below. But if you have to use wheel chair, please contact us.

August 10:	You can go to pick up point where 15 minutes walk to competition center is.

August 12, 13, 14:	OK

Q4) What do you use terrain in each event?

A4) Please read invitation and this page.

Q5) I know top start time of public event from invitation. But I want to bus time table, watching WOC to take part in public race, and so on.

A5) We have a plan you can arrive at competition center before WOC start (9:00 a.m.) and public competition start by bus. But we are planning bus timetable now, because WOC athletes transport is now planning, too.

A6) Do you show us time schedule each day and can I watch WOC start and finish?

A6) We recommend reading invitation and this page. We can’t answer that start and finish area is in competition center.

Q7) Can I make entry public event by your website?

A7) We apologize you can’t make entry by website. But you can make entry by e-mail with entry form (you can download entry form MS-WORD format from our official website) as attached file.

Q8) How much is rental fee of E-card during public events?

A8) You pay it entry competition day. For example, you make entry Day1 and Challenge2, you pay JPY 600 (@300X2), but we lend you it between August 7 and August15.

Q9) We’d like to make entry individual race and Club Cup 7person Relay. Must we lend 2 E-cards? (One is for individual race; the other is for Club Cup 7person Relay)

A9) You need at least 2 E-cards on Club Cup 7person Relay. One is for 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th leg; the other is for 2nd, 4th, 6th leg. So, team leader have to prepare at least 2 E-cards per team. But, if you need over 3cards because of re-start, we can’t lend you the other card. So we recommend preparing over 3cards before or lending it from the other team.

Q10) I’d like to lend 3 E-cards. Can we use them below?
CARD1: 1st, 4th, 7th leg
CARD2: 2nd, 5th leg
CARD3: 3rd, 6th leg

A10) OK.

Q11) Can we use E-card both TEAM A and B on Club Cup 7person Relay?

A11) OK

Q12) Must we need registration E-card number before Club Cup 7person Relay start?

A12) You mustn’t need registration E-card number before Club Cup 7person Relay start.

Q13) Can we hand E-card over next leg continuously at changeover zone?

A13) You mustn’t hand it over.

Q14) Can I buy single ticket of official bus?

A14) No you can’t. We will sell round trip ticket.

Q15) Can I book official bus ticket and parking ticket after June 15?

A15) You can book official bus ticket and parking ticket until July 15. Don’t forget!
