World Orienteering Championships 2005

TRAINING

For your training for WOC2005, Organizing Committee offer 4 Training terrains in the eastern part of Aichi prefecture (in Nukata-town, Shimoyama-village and Tsukude-village), where is called "Mikawa-Kogen Highlands". Terrain name and characteristic of each terrain is as follows.

All the maps for training will be available at Event Center from 28th/Aug. The detail about maps, price and etc. is written in the order sheet (of course EC has many order sheets and you do not need print out on your own).
For your training, we fixed some controls with FLAG(no EMIT) in some area, and also we fixed some controls made by Paper Cup (you can find the sample at EC) in other area. Detailed information is available at EC.

The training area has an inconvenient public transportation facility. We recommend you use of a rental car.

ON-DEMAND MAP

How to order on-demand map

We supply course file as well as base gif files of map for template.

extract files from compressed file.
There are course file (o-cad file) and base map file (gif file). Base map file has already been adjusted to the course file. If not, use "reopen" command in order to put base map as template. Please do not use f9 (adjusted )command. Otherwise, the adjustment would have been
Draw course on the course file with ocad 8. If you don't have ocad 8, you can download from ocad web-site. The course files is for 1:10,000 except for sprint (1:5,000). If you would like to use 1:15,000, please enlarge symbols (control circle and so on) to 150%. The size of on-demand map is A4. Courses should be smaller than A4.
Send the course file to the address below with necessary information. For spring camp, order should be reached at least one week before use. For summer camp in July, the deadline of order would be the end of June (will be announced in detail later).
The maps can be picked up at your accommodation.
The invoice is attached. Please pay to our bank account when you stay in Japan ( The payment to bank account in Japan from foreign countries is charged commission even though payment is in JPY). See price table for the price.
